Just Playing Around
Last night my friend Christy took me out to celebrate my birthday and the birthdays of 2 of her other friends. Their husbands came along to join in the fun, and we all had a great time, though I think I was the only one in the group that didn’t wind up with a hangover this morning. Toward the end of the evening 2 male friends of Christy’s wound up joining us. One of them was a little more than “friendly” with me… I guess he thought that because I was wearing a short leather skirt and boots that it meant he could grope me…. Uh… let me see… NO.
We didn’t stay out very late, I’d gotten up early to go to work and had plans with my oldest today, and then there’s the problem of me being unable to sleep in most days that I don’t work. It was a good thing I got to bed around 1:30, because right around 6:45 these WONDERFUL crows started “singing” back & forth outside my window… those birds are LOUD!! So… at 7:00 this morning I wandered to the coffee pot and started playing around with photos and surfing the web. After a while I decided it was time to enjoy the beautiful weather, so I went to Starbucks and grabbed coffee and a little something to eat and sat down outside. I spent the next few hours listening to music, finishing one of the books I’ve been reading and playing sudoku.
My oldest son met me there and I drove us back to my place so we could have some lunch before going to see the new Pirates of the Carribean movie. We got to the movies before my son’s girlfriend and her family arrived, so I went and sat down and saved seats for us – which isn’t easy in a crowded theater. Everyone finally joined me just before the movie itself started. I really enjoyed the movie, I thought it was every bit as good as the first one, and it certainly built on the storyline. I can hardly wait for the next one to come out! *grins*
Now I’m back home, drinking a beer, typing in my blog, listening to music and otherwise just playing around *winks* I’m also hoping to catch up with someone, though it all depends on if we’ll both be online at the same time.
