My oldest daughter recently turned 17 and she’s joining the Army this August. So, to celebrate we went out last Friday and she got her first tattoo. She has been wanting one for a while and designed one for herself. It’s a rather unusual tattoo, but she’s happy with it, which is all that really matters. She has always loved penguins, so it’s not surprising that she picked this design. The combat helmet was added to the design when she decided to join the military.
The tattoo artist who drew her design on her back is a former marine and he offered to draw the camouflage for the helmet freehand since Amber had problems drawing it herself. He did a great job with it… and as he was drawing the camouflage he said “You can’t hide little penguin” It was really funny. My ex doesn’t really like her tattoo, but it really suits her and her taste, so I don’t think it matters at all.
